The Bachelor of Arts in Arts degree provides you with the flexibility to develop interdisciplinary combinations within a broad liberal arts degree.

Two specializations are available:

  • Studio
  • Graphic Art and Integrated Design (GAID)

Within the studio option, you will select an area specialization and receive a solid background in art history, art criticism, and contemporary theory.

Pathways in Graphic Arts and Integrated Design requires the student to follow a pathway within the degree targeting the foundations of graphic arts and design with directed experiences in printmaking, photography, digital media, illustration, drawing, and fabrication to aid in problem-solving for engaging the community in visual communication.  Emphasis is placed on visual literacy and collaboration.

Both options incorporate a capstone thesis paper, work well as a double major, and can be paired with a minor in any academic department at WSU. All students must also complete UCORE requirements.
