Two opportunities
Complete both applications every year.
WSU scholarships
Undergraduate and graduate students who complete the WSU General Scholarship Application each year are automatically considered for more than 700 scholarships at the College of Arts and Sciences and University-level.
Deadline is January 31 for the following academic year. Recipients are usually notified around mid-March.
Department of Art scholarships
To be considered for scholarship awards from the department:
- Complete the separate department application.
- Provide a PDF of 10 portfolio images (see tips for creating a PDF).
- Write a statement about your creative goals (250 words or less).
Deadline is mid-April for the following academic year. Recipients are usually notified mid-to-late April.
General eligibility for both opportunities
- An incoming or continuing student in good standing at WSU Pullman, WSU Vancouver, or WSU Tri-Cities campus.
- Enrolled in or intending to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program offered by the Department of Art.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Need-based scholarship also require a completed FAFSA or WASFA. Visit WSU Student Financial Services for information and deadlines for these forms.
