“An Artist’s Duty:” Reflecting the Reality of Our Time(s)

Join us for a dynamic virtual conversation with Ginger Ewing, Inga N. Laurent, and Emma Noyes!

Indigenous artist (Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation) Emma Noyes, Haitian-American Gonzaga law professor and writer Inga Laurent, and arts administrator and advocate Ginger Ewing, sit down to discuss the role artists and the arts play in reflecting the times.

Spurred by the recent social justice uprisings, this interactive panel will explore questions like fracturing and truth, what aspects of the panelists’ individual stories play into how they respond, as well as call upon students and faculty to think about their own role in acknowledging and taking action in moments like this.
