AIM • LESS Juried Exhibition Reception Event

March 21, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

On view: March 4, 2019 – March 29, 2019.

There will be a performance and reception event held on Thursday, March 21 from 4:30pm-5:30pm at WSU Fine Arts Gallery 2.

WSU Department of Fine Arts presents a juried exhibition exploring ideas around the theme of aimlessness, or to “aim less,” and its relationship to space, process, and representation. Aimlessness inherently speaks to the objectless, and action without purpose. These artists interpret the qualities of what is to be aimless while considering the subversive nature of aiming less in our contemporary culture. We offer a moment to explore a parallel path while investigating expectation, spontaneity, liminality, desolation, and liberation. Featuring works across various media, including photography, painting, video, and sculpture.

Featuring work by: Carolyn Benedict Fraser, Travis Townsend, Juan Madrid, Jennifer Bacon, Tayler Parkin, Barbara Martin, Coco Spadoni, Areca Roe, Diego Morales-Portillo, and Jessy Earle.

Juried by Q and June T Sanders.
